Over 50 caregivers, parents, students and alumni participated in interviews, focus groups and surveys for our Rural School Design program. The core team spent this past week in Boulder, Colorado where we analyzed the data to determine our current blueprint of education in LHPUSD and identify trends for change.
We are excited to begin sharing our findings and seeking feedback from the broader school community during the next two months. Next steps:
A series of bilingual meetings will be scheduled throughout the Pescadero and La Honda communities in the month of December. The core team will describe our process and present initial trends.
A community gathering is scheduled for January 19th emphasizing community bonding activities, food, and fun. The core team will present findings from the first phase of this program as well as next steps.
