Report cards

Dear TK-5th Grade Parents/Guardians,

Trimester One for La Honda Elementary and Pescadero Elementary ended on November 8th. Teachers have been working on report cards and they will be sent home on Monday, November 25th.

I want to provide you with some context on how your child’s progress and report card grades are being evaluated. Their grades for the trimester one report card reflect their progress toward the end-of-year expectations for their grade level. This approach is intended to highlight your child’s growth along a continuum of learning and to give a clear picture of where they are in relation to the skills and knowledge they are expected to demonstrate by the end of the school year.

It’s important to note that at this early stage in the year, many students may not yet be meeting end-of-year expectations, and that is to be expected with one trimester into the school year. Learning is a process, and each trimester’s report card will show how your child is moving towards the end-of-the-year expectations.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We value your partnership in supporting their learning journey and look forward to a successful year ahead!
